Travelin' Man

I got wind of a challenge that is going on at a blog called Child's Play Challenges where you scrap a photo of the classic Cozy Coupe car toy. This is a layout that I had already done (full disclosure ;-)  ) but it's too perfect not to share. So here it is, little Jon getting crazy in his Cozy Coupe.

Enjoy those summer road trips everyone!

Scrapping Everyday Miracles challenge!

Today there is a new sketch challenge up at Scrapping Everyday Miracles! It's always so much fun to see how everyone interprets a sketch differently. For mine this time I stuck pretty closely to the sketch, from Creative Scrappers.

Here is my take on it:

I hope you all go to SEM and check out the challenge and see what the DT did for examples. Their layouts are wonderful! If you get your layout linked up there by June 30th, you'll be entered to win a series of Donna Downey PanPastel Workshops. Have a good week!

Compendium of Curiosities 2 Challenge #9

It's that time again! It's week 9 in the Compendium of Curiosities 2 Challenge over at the Studio L3 blog. This week's technique was to embellish a Tim Holtz pocket watch as found in A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2, page 35. This was fun - I've been wanting to do one of these watches. I chose a sewing theme and it will most likely turn up in the sewing themed configurations box I have planned in my head. Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring this weeks challenge. Be sure to go check out the Studio L3 blog and see all the cool watches folks have been doing!

Compendium of Curiosities 2 Challenge #8

Another week, another challenge over at the Studio L3 blog! Every week a new technique is featured from Tim Holtz's book A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2. This week the technique is Repurposed Packaging as found on page 62. I had so much fun with this technique and I'm glad I have a stash of packaging plastic that I've saved. Here is the card I made:

Go check out the Studio L3 blog and see all the artwork that people have submitted already. It's inspiring!
